Q&A with Devon Woolston

Q: What excites you the most about working at a company like Apex?

Apex is always an exciting place to be. We’re delivering buses at record speeds, making space more accessible in innovative ways, and constantly challenging traditional workflows in the space industry.

‍Q: Why are you excited about space?

Space is the new frontier, and our generation has a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact. With decreasing launch costs, new companies are gaining access to space, driving innovation across sectors like medicine, commerce, and tourism. I’m thrilled to support and witness the expansion of the space industry's many applications.

Q: You are somewhat new here at Apex. What has surprised you the most so far?

Everyone at Apex is incredibly passionate about their work. We’re one big family, always supporting each other. As a young engineer, I’m grateful to collaborate with experienced minds from diverse backgrounds—new space, aerospace, and traditional space—which brings a wealth of expertise to the team.

Q: Tell us a bit about what you do in your free time.

I’m a private pilot, so you’ll often find me in the sky. I also love snowboarding and look forward to ski season every year. When I’m not flying, I’m usually at home tinkering in my maker space, working on side projects to hone my PCB design skills.
