Q&A with Jay Ahir, Mission Manager

Q: What excites you the most about working at a company like Apex?

Being able to make a meaningful impact on a truly unique and fast growing aerospace start up company like Apex excites me. Each mission early on is vital to the company's success and being able to manage some of these missions and help contribute to the growth and fundamental processes excites me and makes me proud to be an Apex employee.

Q: Why are you excited about space?

Space is one of the fastest growing industries with in my opinion, the deepest potential for innovation. Being able to work in the industry in today's day and age with all the leading edge technology and competition across different aerospace companies motivates me to continue to adapt to the industry's needs with Apex.

Q: You are somewhat new here at Apex. What has surprised you the most so far?

I am most surprised by the open collaboration and efficiency of the team at Apex. Every member plays their part and is more than willing to help each other across products, programs, and missions to help the company grow as a team. Each member takes ownership of their role and ensures success amongst their subsystem.

Q: Tell us a bit about what you do in your free time.

In my free time, I love to train and compete in martial arts, play with my puppies, and spend time with my family.
